a bit about me:
My name is Meghan O'Beirne and my most recent positions have been as Costume Designer and Adjunct Professor at Manhattanville University, Costume Designer/Supervisor at Poly Prep Country Day School - summer 2025, and Associate Costume Director at Barrington Stage Company for the summer 2024 season. I have also been an Adjunct Professor at Marymount Manhattan College, and work as a Part-time Stitcher in the Pace University Costume Shop. I have served as the Costume Shop Supervisor at Long Island University (LIU)-Post Campus from Sept. 2021 - Jan. 2024 and was the Adjunct Professor for the basic costume section of the Technical Theatre class during my time there. I was the Costume Shop Supervisor at Bay Street Theater for the summers of 2019, 2021, and 2022 and enjoyed the variety of shows and training the college-aged interns on costumes and wardrobe. I received my MFA in production design, with a concentration in costume design from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2015. I love creating and transforming people with fabric and truly bringing a character to life. My ideal careers are Costume Shop Manager or Supervisor, Costume Designer, or Wardrobe Supervisor in a professional theatre or university costume shop.
